Solutions Architect - Atlanta Technical Director | Financial Services

We are currently seeking a Solutions Architect who is focused on Ippon’s Technology Solutions offerings in the Atlanta Financial Services Market.

The Solutions Architect is responsible for leading the technical direction of the Atlanta office in conjunction with the national senior leadership team. It is a role that combines consideration of our people, processes and technology. A strong network in Atlanta is required to help with referring leads and recruiting consultants in the area. You can easily transition between pre-sales meetings and delivering complex technical architectures. You are a self-starter, a driven person. You are smart, social media savvy, digitally responsive, and have previous financial services experience.

2. Passion and knowledge of the financial services industry and banking in particular
3. Solid technical skills and experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Leverage extensive knowledge of data systems, process flows and procedures to aid analyses and recommendations for solution offerings 
• Lead feasibility analysis, select the technologies that provide the best solution and identify the products available that will best fit the solution proposed
• Design solutions, taking advantage of existing assets while maintaining a balance between architecture requirements and specific client needs
• Create prototypes, conduct proofs of concepts, evaluate options with pros and cons and provide recommendations
• Assess the business situation by engaging with varied levels and profile of stakeholders
• Facilitate project execution by providing support in project-level issue resolution and scope management. Ensure quality of all project deliverables
• Collaborate with other team members (involved in the requirements gathering, testing, roll-out and operations phases) to ensure seamless transitions
• Help the team by participating in pre-sales meetings, interviewing candidates and suggesting content for proposals and statements-of-work

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a top university
• At least 5-7 years of professional experience in IT, IT services or consulting work
• At least 3 years of hands-on development experience using open source software, data engineering tools, development frameworks, infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in Financial Services
• Understanding design and development best practices
• Programming experience in: Java, Python and/or similar languages
• Experience implementing 2-3 end-to-end solutions in the cloud across multiple technologies and platforms
• Familiarity with agile development best practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of IT strategy and management
• Pro-level certification related to cloud architecture
